Our Doctor

Dr. Pick, a native Iowan, graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.

Since graduation, his continuing education journey has expanded his knowledge toward complete dentistry. This focus on maintaining his patients’ oral health for a lifetime has made him well versed in the proper treatment planning and diagnosing for those patients that are very health conscious.

In today’s environment, health care costs are increasing and insurance support is decreasing. Proper evaluation and planning is paramount.

Currently, Dr. Pick has amassed 800 hours of continuing education focusing solely on temporomandibular joint and sleep disharmony. His efforts have allowed him Diplomate status in three organizations and Diplomate eligible status in one other organizations. These academic and clinical awards have not been achieved by any other dentist in Iowa.
Yes, the above two disorders can be interrelated.  As stated by the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain in their white paper “Dentists need to be aware of the temporomandibular joint’s condition prior to any oral appliance treatment for sleep apnea.”

Consider conquering your sleep and orofacial pain problems employing Dr. Pick’s education, experience, and technology.

“I view my profession as an opportunity to help people who haven’t found a solution whether it be sleep or head related pain.  Unfortunately, these problems and their solutions are not formally addressed in most dental schools.”

“With the aid of hundreds of sleep and orofacial (TMJ) continuing education hours, my diagnostic and treatment protocols have been very effective. Focusing on the cause of the problem, rather than treating the symptoms is paramount for success.”

“Commitment, also involves in investing and maintaining modern equipment and technology.  My practice has diagnostic capabilities that are unsurpassed here in Iowa.”

“If you are tired of being tired, wanting that head pain to go away, I believe my non-surgical efforts for these problems may be the solution you desire. “
